Innovations and digital services have been identified as essential factors for sustainable service provision in rural areas. Implementation has so far been slow. The ongoing demographic development with ageing society, depopulation, loss of local facilities and long distances to health care, schools and shops calls for urgent changes in how services are delivered.
This seminar will provide an opportunity for inspiration and for exchanging experiences of innovative methods for developing services in rural and peripheral areas. It will showcase results of co-creation, focusing on possibilities and meeting needs.
Co-creation is significant for meeting the needs of today and the future:
- co-creation gives more value for the resources invested (together we accomplish more)
- no need for everyone to invent the same solutions (not wasting resources)
- focusing on actual problems and needs (finding solutions)
- involving end-users' first-hand knowledge (avoiding mismatch, creating the right services)
