Contributing to the Atlantic Strategy in Ireland, through NPA

The Annual Conference will address topics as innovation related to fisheries, aquaculture, environmental protection and maritime and coastal tourism.

The Joint Secretariat in cooperation with the Northern & Western Regional Assembly (Ireland) will organise the 21st of September, in Galway (Ireland), the NPA Annual Conference 2017. The event will address Blue Growth as its main theme.

The programme not only focuses on the Arctic, but also aims to contribute to the Atlantic Strategy. The conference will address such topics as entrepreneurship and innovation related to fisheries and aquaculture, environmental protection and maritime and coastal tourism.

Representatives of the IMPROVE project will attend the conference as well. "At IMPROVE we believe that the NPA Annual events are a great meeting point since they bring us the opportunity to share our experiences with other projects and discuss similar challenges we are facing. They also provide us with a clear picture on how the NPA Programme is progressing and the strategic priorities and useful information for future periods", says Jose Manuel San Emeterio Project Manager at ERNACT and IMPROVE's Project Leader.
