IMPROVE project partner the Association of Local Authorities in Västernorrland (ALAV), Sweden, was contacted by the management for the event National Meeting Point Welfare Technology (MVTe) 2018, with the motivation they felt the video that Västernorrland produced for IMPROVE, represents a new way of communicating and a good example of how to communicate welfare technology. Besides filling its original purpose for IMPROVE in Västernorrland, the video has been recognized on a national level as one of the most successful and interesting videos in its field.
ALAV was invited as lead speaker for a new topic at the conference: New, innovative ways to communicate and achieve impact on messages about digital welfare technology.
Madeleine Blusi, project coordinator, and Cristina Eriksson, Local Champion presented the IMPROVE project and told the story about why and how the video was made, and the impact of the video on the development of digital services in Västernorrland. They also participated in a panel discussion, together with Swedish leading experts on the topic of communicating digital development in social services. There was great interest for the lecture; about 250 people attended the seminar and panel discussion.
