The IMPROVE project has developed the 'Heritage Map App', an online tool to explore Letterkenny (County Donegal, Ireland), with twenty points of interest around the area, through your personal devices.

IMPROVE partners from Donegal County Council (Ireland), in collaboration with Letterkenny Cathedral Quarter group, have presented this app in July. Cllr Gerry McMonagle, Cathaoirleach of Donegal County Council has officially launched the app together with the IMPROVE partner and developer of this app, Daragh McDonough, from the Geographic Information Systems section of Donegal County Council and Chair of Letterkenny Cathedral Quarter.

About the app

The app is a product developed from the collaboration between Donegal County Council and Letterkenny Cathedral Quarter group under the IMPROVE project. It can be downloaded onto different mobile devices with the objective of exploring the area. It is remarkable that the information available on the app has been validated by Kieran Kelly from Letterkenny Historical Society and gathered by Cathedral Quarter committee member John Nee. It is planned to translate this app into several languages. Check the app! Picture by Letterkenny Quarter Cathedral.
